Fort Edwards Presentations - Founder's Day 2010

Saturday, September 25th:
10:30 a.m. Charles Hall on Early Settlement of Eastern Hampshire County
11:00 a.m. Robert Flanagan on Irony on the Monogahela: the Ill-Fated Braddock Campaign
11:30 a.m. Either Charles Hall & Robert Flanagan will be available to answer questions during the hour following the presentations.
Note: these presentations will be in the Historical Theme Area

Sunday, September 26th:
1:30 p.m. Charles Hall on Early Settlement of Eastern Hampshire County
2:00 p.m. Robert Flanagan on Irony on the Monogahela: the Ill-Fated Braddock Campaign
2:30 p.m. Either Robert Flanagan or Charles Hall will be available to answer questions during the hour following the presentations.

     The Fort Edwards Visitor Center will be open for Founder's Day. Shuttle buses are available to take you to the Visitor Center from the Festival grounds. There is an entrance fee. The hours are:
       Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. - Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
     Docents in period attire will be on hand giving demonstrations in lace making, an important colonial industry.
     The Visitor Center's Museum Shop will be open. It carries a wide range of books, maps, CDs and art relating directly to the French and Indian War and to colonial life on the frontier; the shop also has copies of the 250th anniversary history of Hampshire County. One of the maps is the only currently available map that shows many of the forts of Hampshire County during the period of the French and Indian War.
